New World Group has a clear vision in nurturing staff and enhancing their competence and talent which in turn supports its sustainable growth. I, as an architect, participate regularly in various training and structured courses provided by the Group that cover a wide spectrum of professional skills. Staff members may also apply for sponsorship for job-related professional training courses.
I had the opportunity to take part in the then newly launched New World Star Executive Development Programme ("STAR") several years ago. It provided me with a great opportunity to equip myself with new management concepts and skills through case discussions with colleagues from other business units of the Group. The process of analysis and ideas exchange with fellow participants were enlightening. More importantly, friendship and connection developed among all STAR participants has helped lay a good foundation for future collaboration within the Group.
The Group also organises a series of senior executive sharing sessions, in which experienced executives from various departments share with participants their valuable experiences in their respective professional areas. The sharing on different approaches towards problem solving was not only inspiring, but also useful in helping me understanding the various business operations of the Group and widening my horizon.
