Care for Youth
New World Group has been placing great emphasis on the nurturing of local young
people and actively supporting the all-round development of them. In 2007, the Group
launched "New World Young Leaders" which promotes the exchange and integration of
young people, and nurtures future leaders in Hong Kong and China.
In addition, NWD has established awards to support the academic research conducted
by ethnic Chinese around the world and offered opportunities of training and artistic
creation for young people, enabling them to develop their professionalism to contribute
to the society.
Love beyond Borders
New World Group has been actively promoting the development of Mainland China and
Hong Kong affairs and is committed to contributing to the Greater China region.
Besides organizing various disaster relief activities, lending a helping hand to
our compatriots in Mainland China, the Group also arranges local university students
to attend internship programmes in different Mainland cities to encourage young
people to learn about their home country and care about their motherland.
Green Initiatives
Environmental protection has become a globally urgent task. As a responsible corporate citizen, New World Group is actively concerned about and participates in environmental protection. The Group has established the Group Environmental Committee leading various group companies to actively formulate environmental targets, drive the implementation of green measures and promote environmental protection both internally and externally. Community Support
New World Group has always been fully supporting charitable services and encouraging
its subsidiaries to form corporate volunteer teams to care for underprivileged people
in the community and at the same time enhance tacit understanding and friendship
among staff members. In addition, New World Group actively participated in various
events organized by the Community Chest, and as a long-term supporter to the Chest,
the Group has been awarded with "Merits of Awards" for many years.
Promoting Sports
With our deep connection to Hong Kong, the New World Group is dedicated to promoting sport in the community. We hope to encourage more Hong Kong people to embrace a healthy lifestyle through swimming and other sports. The Group is pleased to be the title sponsor of the New World Harbour Race 2011.
